Its a wonderful park and the only beach in Waterbury. The kids can all interact with each other building sand castles and floating toy boats in the holes they dig and fill with water. I brought my grandson there many times when he was young. You can also picnic or cook out there so its easy to spend the day. But...just like many swimming areas in the state...you need to check to make sure the swimming is open. The lake is checked daily for bacteria levels and just like everywhere else in ct. It can be shut down for a few days until levels are favorable. Its a great family park and they will be soon adding a new playscape. Also the lake does get stocked and you can fish there. Give it a try and I hope you enjoy it as our family did.
Sure you can bring your Dog with no problem they are also allow to Swim 🏊
Park is closed after sunset
Yes
I do not swim in that water. I have seen some people swimming.
I do not know, I'm so sorry
Depends on the algae in the water. If it is high like the last few years they will close it.
Nice place to have one a birthday..
