Right at Home Northern Lake County does a great job training their employees in care and dementia, as well as supporting their clients needs. Mike, the owner, goes above and beyond to make sure his families are taken care of. I trust them with my friends and family.

I think RAH of Grayslake is the best agency in the area for Home Care and Assistance. You will not find a better group of people to help care for your loved ones!

I can't say enough about the care givers at Right at Home. My Mom loved them because they genuinely cared about her, and her needs. Savannah & Bri were her favorites, and she talked of them often, called them her right hand girls. Thanks Mike, and the entire staff for your kindness, and thoughtfulness during our time of need.

It has been great working with a wide variety of clients and having the opportunity to make strong connections with them. Questions & Answers

Will my long-term care insurance help pay for home care?

Each policy is different, so you will need to work closely with your broker or agent to make sure you choose the coverage you need. But in general, most comprehensive long-term care policies pay for in-home care if you need help with the activities of daily living like dressing and hygiene, or household tasks like cooking and light housekeeping, which can mean the difference between living at home and moving to a nursing home.

What is the difference between a caretaker and a caregiver?

Right at Home | Aug 26, 2022

The key difference between a caretaker and a caregiver is that a caregiver is someone who looks after a person who needs care and support, both physically and emotionally, whereas a caretaker typically refers to a person who is in charge of the maintenance of a building or estate, or someone who temporarily performs the duties of an office. A caregiver is a relatively newer term than caretaker, and is a person who provides direct care for children, the elderly, those who are disabled or chronically ill, or others who need assistance.
