That is usually accurate. The public sessions are usually only 2 or 3 hours, so that sounds about right. The best thing to do is either call or check the website and view their calendar. Since the schedule often changes based on maintenance, classes, and events, I would recommend checking their calendar. It will have the most accurate schedule of hours.

Depending on the age and if the child is 5 an under they are free admission but will probably need a walker which is $5... Its always good to just call an ask they do discount days for holidays aswell like new year's will be $8 for admission and skate rental!
