My primary care doctor Smith failed to respond to my request for COVID treatment after i tested positive. I have underlying conditions. I used MyChart for two days and repeated phone calls. Nice receptionist and nurse. However, no response from the doctor. Others in my family got immediate help from other clinics. I will find a doctor who is not primary “lack of care.”

Protect yourself!! Steer clear of this place! When I came to their emergency department, I was misinformed by the staff at the time of treatment that they would take my insurance. Even when I was discharged I was told my copay would be the expected charge as per my insurance plan... then I received a MUCH larger bill. I called my insurance any they assured me that was incorrect, They paid everything but my copay. When I inquired about this with St. Alphonsus, they suddenly claim they won’t take my insurance, hence the vast bill discrepancy. I tried to appeal this as I was misinformed by them from the beginning and NEVER would’ve consented to treatment had I been properly informed. In return I’ve received very dismissive and rude treatment by some of their staff. Finances are ridiculously hard during this pandemic and they won’t work with you! They claim you only have two options to pay and they won’t accept any appeal nor will a manager of the billing department speak to me. Finally, I was promised that I would be sent a packet to fill out for financial aid (this is after numerous emails and calls, pleading for consideration on my bill and offering to pay the copay I had originally expected in full - which they refused...). They insisted on sending the packet via USPS and I have been waiting weeks to receive it... only to find out that they’ve sent me to collections while I’ve desperately been trying to settle this bill!! I even asked the billing department CSR multiple times if I would be sent to collections while waiting for this packet and she assured me I would not. All of this billing aside... when I followed up with my primary care provider at St. Luke’s, she was shocked that the attending physician had failed to conduct some tests that would’ve been extremely helpful in deducing a proper diagnosis considering my symptoms/condition upon entering the clinic. So while this billing department is an utter nightmare, I now question their treatment as well. My advice - steer clear. I am so hurt and disappointed by this place that claims to care about people and their wellbeing. Things are hard enough with this pandemic, so please don’t put yourself at any further risk dealing with a medical facility like this. To whomever may read this, take care of yourself and seek treatment anywhere but St. Alphonsus. You deserve proper medical care and fair billing practices. Protect yourself and your family - avoid the unnecessary financial hardship that St. Alphonsus might trap you in.

Every aspect of my visit to St. Alphonsus Eagle was too drawer! The attentive, professional staff created a place/space that effectively addressed my condition.
