There is no fee to fish in the lake, however all persons 10 years or older are required to have a Class U urban fishing license from AZ Game and Fish. They can be purchased online or at more than 300 locations statewide.

Based on the description you provided, our Parks department believes the trees you are describing are Red Pistache trees. Unfortunately NOT the gates are closed at 10 pm and the park ranger drives through and advises everyone at the park of this. However this is possible up the road less than a mile on Northern and 91st. In the parking lot of Peoria Crossings . Good luck.

You do need reservation if you plan to use a ramada. We had to book one for our daughters birthday party.

Its just short of a 1 mile walk on the sidewalk path around the lake so by the time you've walked to and from your car you've walked 1 full mile. Lots of walkers out there when the weather is nice.
