This place was really awesome. First off, we stopped there because while it was down pouring for a few hours it was the only place that was completely packed, so we knew it had to be good. You order your food at one counter, pay then they text you when your food is ready at another counter. Genius! We had some crabs, the shrimp platter, the crab sandwich platter, and the fish filet platter. Everything was gone! Fried shrimp was crispy! Crabs were juices and not dry, and the lump of crab meat was very generous. The people working there seemed to know what they were doing and liked their jobs. Only issues is we felt the fountain soda drink was way too big! But better than too small, right? Loved this place, if we are in the area again we will definitely stop by!

On the Bay Seafood is a medium sized seafood restaurant on the main strip, with covered outdoor seating only. You cue in line, order at the counter, choose your table, get texted when your food is ready, and pick it up at a different window. We ordered a couple crabcakes, hush puppies, and a half dozen crabs. The biggest they had when we arrived, were med/large. The crabcakes were decent, not much in terms of jumbo lump, and noticeable filler, but still tasty. The crabs however, were as advertised, heavy with meat, and perfectly cooked. Would definitely return for the fresh crabs.

Great experience. We order 1/2 bushel of the medium/large blue crabs for take out. They give you paper to put down and mallets. This was our first time having blue crab. The flavor and quality was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The Homemade Crabcake lacked flavor, but the dozen Hot Heavy Crabs were seasoned to perfection and was delicious! Shrimp was tasty, Corn on the cob was sweet and delicious. I recommend On the Bay Seafood and will definitely dine there the next time I visit Ocean City.
