I lived at this apartment a couple of years ago for 4 years. My issue is with the policy of the company. I had a 2 bedroom unit. A close friend of mine asked me a favor if she can rent the other room because she was not in a good living situation in so. CA. The apartment’s policy is that she had to be put on the Lease Agreement, credit check was made on her and because she did not had good credit, she was asked for a higher deposit (I believe it was over $500). A couple of years later, my friend decided to move back to Hawaii with her family. She went to the Leasing Office to request a refund of her deposit and was denied saying, “her deposit will be refunded only when I moved out and that she should get her deposit from me!”. First, her deposit was given to Harbor Oaks not to me second, the Lease was between her and the apartment not me, so why should I refund her deposit? This is absolutely unethical…I would not recommend this place for that reason. I lost that friendship due to this place.

Best apartments in the area. Front office and maintenance staff is deligent, kind and helpful. I will miss living here.

I love living here. The grounds are well maintained, maintenance responds quickly to any issues, the pool area looks like a resort and I feel like I'm living at a resort instead of just an apartment. Tim White is one of the maintenance guys that I regulary see around the property keeping things up. At the summer pool party, Tim made my guests and me feel very welcome and appreciated. We appreciated Tim being there along with the other staff who made that a fabulous event.
