My husband is non-ambulatory and needs to be transported by gurney. The transportation company was one and half hour's late and Dr. Powell and his staff was very sweet and understanding. They bent themselves over backwards to still accommodate him. Even though the appointment was primarly for a deep cleaning Dr. Powell blocked off his whole afternoon and extracted 7 teeth. We did not expect this. He knows how difficult it is to arrange transportation and was willing to do whatever was necessary to make this difficult appointmet easier for my husband. I have been recommending Dr. Powell since 1990 and will continue. He and his staff really treat you with utmost care. Thank you!!!

The dentist is nice and most staff-in fact there was one extremely nice and caring lady who does a lot of hands on work before the dentist comes in (wonderful lady) but the hygienist is an absolute horrible person. I returned after just having a baby and she was so mean and rude that I was in tears. She said “do you even brush your teeth”? She also does not know postpartum gums are going to be swollen and take up to 3 months to get better. She was ruff and kept going despite my complaints of pain. She said I had all of these gum issues and I’m so many words my gums were so bad I had advanced gum disease and my teeth are going to fall out if I did not do their 2,000 tx. Well went back to my old dentist and he said you are fine. He said “Let’s clean your teeth and I promise you in 3 months they will be back to normal and you are not loosing your teeth” Well surprise, surprise they were just fine as he said and I do not have advanced gum disease. It was all pregnancy and postpartum teeth related issues. Took me a while to post this but I think people need to know. Also the work I did have done before that appt with the hygienist Is not placed right and I have the hardest time flossing around the crown I have to buy special pics to get in between my gums. I did not go back after the hygienist issue for this to be fixed due to how that interaction went. So overall I do not recommend this place. I agree about so many positive comments on here I don’t know why there is not more truth telling and negative reviews. I have a relative that went there and their billing was off too and they held back money that was owed to them and kept making excuses as to why they did not send the refund in the mail. Finally, you can have all of the fancy tx and aromatherapy but if the work is not solid and people are rude and trying to go after your wallet then in the end you will not be a satisfied Pt.
