the repair shop attached to the a-1 24th st. smog is deplorable. we took our car in a week ago to get it tested to see what it needed to pass a smog. the repair shop quoted us a decaying fuel pump ignition (and had us fork over 900 dollars just to buy the part). my wife had to get time off of work to pick up the car when it was eventually ready (but lo and behold, surprise, it wouldn't start!). Turns out,the shop doesn't lock up vehicles, and just leaves them on the lot, and someone tried to break into her car, and as such jacked up the security system. we had to go the next day (which was also our son's 9th birthday) to try to pick it up AGAIN, but THIS time the check engine light was on. they look at it AGAIN and find out supposedly ANOTHER part needed to be replaced. They switched off the light, told us to drive about an hour, and see what happens (the check engine light turned on after about half an hour). THIS IS NOT A GOOD SHOP. They have no security cameras, no way to lock up the cars, and cant even get us the full diagnostic about the full issue (which, btw, we have to pay 50 bucks for to get the diagnostic), and dont even have the decency to apologize about the break-in. It is times like this that the stereotype of dishonest grease-monkeys is unfortunately proved true (with this location).

Don’t even use synthetic oil when you ask for it they use regular 10w-30 shady place manager drinks while even on the job do not recommend at all
