Nice place 👌

Nice park in the lower mountains. Lots of camping, hiking trails all around the lake. Creeks and a waterfall.
Jérôme KOLB
Nice location for a 3hours hiking around the lake. However many people on the lake itself, with motor boats, music, and shoutings that doesn’t give the expected quiet wildeness of a natural site.
Benny Villegas
Cool spot to chill

Yes. But it can be easily done online and there are pictures of the camp site and a description of it as well.
The creek is the run off water that comes from the Sly park waterfall. You can get there 3 ways. One way is The hiking trail that starts at the main road near the dam. You'll see signs for waterfall or hike trail. $5 parking. I was told the hike is about An hour and a half one way but its along one whole side of the lake. The trail leads you right to the waterfall Which means the falls are at the furthest end of the lake. Once at the falls you follow the water to the creek. The second way is to drive into the park (paying for a day pass) they give you a map too but all you need to do is drive along the lake until you get to the end of the lake, look for waterfall signs, park and walk the path along the waters edge its about a 10 min or less walking trail that will lead you straight to the creek then to the falls. It's a beautiful walk! The third way is by kayak or paddle board. Again go straight to the far end of the lake, far right side and that will lead you to the creek.
Yes there are picnic tables in main day use area. $13 per car & $5 per pet. No pets allowed in water.
You can definitely swim at sly park but make sure you don't bring your dog into the water.
Sierra at Tahoe Resort is the closest. About 40miles on Sly Park Rd/SR-50 from Sly Park.
Yes
I brought and cooked with a full bbq grill without any problems. The camp grounds and day use sites have free standing bbq's that are obviously cleaned regularly which was nice to see. There shouldn't be a problem with a small portable grill because there is plenty of clear areas to set one up on. I hope this helps. Enjoy!
Yeah there are decent trails you can take a stroller. You can also stick to the paved roads and still enjoy the view
It's open everyday unless you are paying to enter the park
Powerbait and jig
No but EID does sell an annual pass.
Online is quickest way to make reservations. You are able to view the camping areas online.
It depends on where you are on the lake. Some areas of the lake you can make a phone call but can't use internet.
There is only one
Nice lake there is a lot parking close to lake but you need to pay to enter the park you can take your mother there i went there week day it wasn't busy but i don't know weekend.
Day use yearly pass was $135 if i remember correctly. That should be all day use, as far as i know, including boat launch.
I dont know that answere
No wait nine I went very early in morning to find good spot to park my car and picnic area are available
Yes, it is open to the public as well
Yes they opened for everyone with camping. We were there last week and many people camping there. We went for the day. It was $15 dollars for the entry.
The rules include the whole park. Especially not allowed in the lake. It's drinking water and they're strict about it. I know... I don't get it either. It's not like they eliminate in water like that.
Search the page or call to reserve. Fill up soon
When yhe park was full we launched our kayaks from the waters edge and found a place to park on the side of the road. Normal days you pay your $12 and launch from one of their two ramps or any camping area or day use area.
We were at the 167 rainbow place 2 min to beginning of the trail and 13-15 min to wfall
Yes u can walk in and follow the road it's paved❤
