9/14/22 -- I had to get my Sharky's fix, so glad they're in my neighborhood. Great friendly prompt service. Ordered the delicious crab cakes prepared in a light breading, along with the addictive mac-cheese and grits sides. For the first time had the jalapeño-cheese poppers with a creamy filling, fried in a light batter; next time I'll have two orders of this delectable side! I love Toby's house-made tartar sauce! It's hard to decide what to order as the generous servings of jumbo shrimp, Atlantic cod, and oysters are all so good and wonderful takeout leftovers. I also bought a birthday gift card for a relative who greatly enjoys Sharky's jambalaya and gumbo made to order, always worth the brief wait. The little cornbread muffins are a real treat as well. Already trying to decide my order the next visit as I favor their fish menu -- maybe I need the scallops takeout. Love this place! 7/25/22 -- Every time I pass Sharky's I wrestle my steering wheel trying to turn in there. Today I relented needing a Sharky's fix for my addiction to the grits and mac-cheese. Even though I was masked and hadn't visited for a while Toby greeted me effusively like a long-lost friend! I knew the grits and mac-cheese were a done deal, but it was hard to decide on the entree (as the oysters, crab cakes, and shrimp in past were divine). I went for the 2-piece Atlantic cod fillet I'd loved my first time there and decided on the fries that had not been so exciting in the past. It didn't take long for my take-out order as late-lunch customers kept coming in. $30 for the delicious food that will last me for days I believe is a bargain for the great quality and exceptionally friendly personable service. My spicy lightly-battered cod is thick, fresh, and tender. This time the fries are crispy, tasty, provided with lots of ketchup and Toby's great tartar sauce for the cod. I also had one of his cute little cornmeal muffins to go! Of course the grits and mac-cheese are incomparably rich and well-prepared; I'm totally hooked on those two amazing sides that fry up crispy leftover! The only slight bummer was they were out of Marita's pecan pie I just love, so I bought one of her sweet potato pies to try for a change and after a few bites here at home I must say it's every bit as great as the pecan pie, a little nutmeg and cinnamon flavored with a light pie crust. I'm totally sold on Sharky's and believe whole-heartedly in his enterprise as a fine addition to the Vacaville restaurant scene. For me the quality of Sharky's food and service is impeccable. I'm sad some individuals have not been as pleased and/or as enthusiastic about Sharky's as me, but I intend to remain a loyal customer having bought several gift cards for friends to encourage support of the business. On my way out the with my bagged warm aromatic order, Toby saw me to the door even as he was meeting with other customers. I LOVE Sharky's and have to keep returning for the always great food and down-home welcoming service! (:

Had the 2 item combo with Mac and cheese. My two meats were Orange Ruffy fish and Chicken thighs. The gentleman working behind the counter brought me a sample of Jambalaya and a sample of yams since it was my first time. This place is special. The light fry on fish was perfect, as was the same with the chicken. The samples were great too. As for the Mac and cheese, I have searched my entire adult life chasing a particular Mac and cheese flavor from my childhood. I couldn't believe it when I tasted it. I found it! It was incredible. Great job to the team at Sharky's. We will definitely be returning.

DO NOT GO HERE! THIS PLACE IS DYSFUNCTIONAL! Put an online order at 6:25, website told me it will be ready at 7:00. Got there at 7:00, and was told the food was on its way out. But I didn’t get my food till 8:00. Food is not even that good. Totally not worth it! Will never come back.

So much food and the catfish and red snapper is delicious. I have yet to try the Jambalaya.
