It's a beautiful area, but there isn't much space that isn't covered with rocks to set up on. Good for swimming. A combination or shallow and deep areas, which us nice if you have a family with toddlers and teens. Again hard to walk due to the rocks.

πŸ₯°We've been going to North fork for over 20 years as an annual family event. We've been to Shady Cove, Opal Creek, Salmon Falls and North Fork park. The beauty never ceases to amaze us and other friends and family we bring alongπŸ₯°

I AM IN LOVEEEEE WITH THIS LOCATION AND WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING FOR YEARS TO COME! This little hidden treasure has 15 first come first serve campsites ($14 a night $5per car). The host will not let you reserve ahead of time and you will not find it on reservation.gov. It also has a day use area that closes at 10. Parking is $5 there are 2 tables available for dayuse but nothing else. THE HOST IS SUPER FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, makes his rounds x2 a day and sells wood when in need. Campsites are pretty close to each other, But there are about 5 that are huge! We had campsites 10,11 and 8 . We were lucky to get two side by side and had a trail to and from each campsite. You can park your car right un front of your campsite. All campsites on left side have trails leading to the Little Santiam River. Which is my favorite river in Oregon by far! Perfect little area for swimming and rope/rock jumping and even a little beach if you go down far enough. *2 potable toilets for the whole campsites. *4 places available for water *4 places to dump sink water

You can pay for the night or a parking fee to access the river. It's first come first serve. No debit cards and no change for cash. 14 per night to camp.
