Hadcto give a star to leave my comment but this nursing home needs to be closed down. This is nooooo way that any person should have to live. The staff can care less and it shows all the way around the board. The patients are not clean, or Moisturized, bed sheets are always dirty, the smell of urine hits you as soon as you step off the elevator. The call lights do not get answered answered. Its the worst and its so heart breaking . I will be going more often and making calls to the higher up(state)

Forced to give 1 star as i would prefer not to give any. Despite reading reviews I remained optimistic of where my loved one would be placed. My first impression was the least of my worries as staff left the facility obviously dissatisfied as expressed by the demeanor and rumblings as they exited the building. Left at the front desk for a while as receptionist had to go upstairs. I had no clue as to what room my loved one was in. Without going into all of the details lets just say stuff was not attentive to residents needs. I understand shortage in healthcare currently but that's no excuse for the severe lack of timeliness to have needs addressed.

First of all, let me respond to any future responses to this review. Your time to respond would have been seen as much more sincere while my family member was a resident. Not 1 phone call from your facility, in 8 weeks, until the day we called 911. I was there to care for him every day. Let me start my review by saying this facility has a few employees who genuinely care. And for that, we are grateful. Jose, Victoria, Piper, Robin, Beth, Lowanda, Melissa. I apologize if I forgot anyone. I sincerely hope they remain for the benefit of the other residents. The facility itself is falling apart. During his stay, he was moved to three different rooms. His belongings thrown in garbage bags and stuffed between the closet and window. Many of his belongings left behind in his old room. There is little regard to this being their home. Every room had stains (? vomit) on the wall next to the bed. The light over his bed was broken. Reported and never fixed. Roommates light could not be turned off. He's been waiting for 3 months for a replacement. Sink water does not shut off. No hot water in 1 room. 2 elevators...1 broken for much of his stay. Curtains stained, ripped. Floors rarely cleaned. Dresser broken. I do give them 5 stars for emptying the trash. Patient care..... Little to none. Very basic. I never saw 1 single resident given an actual shower. What I did see was unkept, unwashed hair. They say they have a beautician. I never saw evidence of that. The smell at times was overwhelming of dirty diapers and stool. Especially on the off shifts. My family member was never offered help (bed bound) to brush his teeth. Never shaved. Many times sat in his dirty diaper until I came up to change him. He vomited several times a day. Most days I found his gown and blanket wet and dirty. Rarely enough clean linen. Call lights for help almost always ignored. I put on his light 1 day just to see how long it would be. 2 hours later, they shut it off from the main desk and never came down to check on him. I witnessed a patient left in the bathroom, with her light on, yelling, for over an hour. Wound/tube care.... The first week, this was ok. But then it became my job. Nephrostomy tube dressing, saturated. I would hold out to see if they would change it. I eventually gave up and just did it myself. Sacral wounds developed shortly after his arrival. Brought to staff attention by me. A wound team came around 2 times a week to apply a dressing, which remained even after it was soiled with stool. Painful wounds under his abdomen, never addressed even though it was brought to staff attention several times. Staff.... A hand full of staff seemed to genuinely care. And how I looked forward to them being on. Many times there was 1 nurse and 1 aid. I witnessed arguments between staff about staffing shortages & people being forced to stay. Staff frequently told me they were working a double. There is a night nurse that is very abrasive and miserable to patients. There is a male PCT who was very rough right in front of me. Requested a care plan meeting, phone call, anything from administration. Never happened. Hospice care...... the biggest issue. They have no system to deal with any issues that may present outside of the norm. The last 72 hours, my family member moaned in pain. He also had severe nausea/vomiting. His pain was clearly not controlled with the sublingual morphine given every 4 hours. With some nurses, he was required to ask for his next dose. If he didn't, he was not given it. This is not how hospice is suppose to work. Residents should be given their pain medication around the clock. That is how you control their pain. We had to request a zofran order for nausea. Thankfully, nurse Victoria was on and made it happen. The day before he passed, I arrived to him yelling in pain. That is when we removed him from the facility. In summary, their web site gives the illusion of a facility very different from our experience. Maybe these are future goals? I hope they are for the remaining residents.

Family member there over six months and just declined till the very end. Nursing didn’t apply bandages and wraps as the Dr ordered. Aides put two diapers on at the same time instead of just changing one when needed. Assistant Administrator/Rehab Director knew these issues, did nothing to address the situations with anyone, and said “I can’t afford to lose my job “. So instead of being a patient advocate and making waves, her financial wellbeing is more important than the patients physical wellbeing. She spends more time gossiping and looking the other way than addressing the actual issues there. Therapist Alex told other female staff she has a boyfriend but also is bisexual, just feet away from patients rooms. The professionalism is just as bad as the lack of care and concern. The young female physical therapist lacks knowledge and/or any experience. The 1 star is for the kitchen as they did decent in preparing special diets for patients. All the 5 star ratings over the last year were left by their corporate employees. Very deceiving! The ten 1 star reviews-legit!!
