I purchase a window awning around 15 years ago from you for my kitchen window. As it receives full afternoon sun, the cloth has since faded and torn. Do you ever just replace the cloth, with still using the existing frame hardware?

Hello Linda, Yes, that would be called a recover and we do it all the time. For your awning, which is 2' x 2' x 4'-6" and a premium fabric would be right in the area of $700.00 for a recover. We need an awning for our commercial real estate building. Our real estate signs are red and white. A red awning with white lettering may be what we choose to do. Can you tell me if a red awning will fade from being in the sun and weather?

Hello Brenda, All colors will fade from the sun, and turns out red does fade the fastest out of all colors. With saying that I would expect a difference of around 10% shorter lifespan for red, and with a 10 year warranty fabric I wouldn't compromise my choice of color for a slightly shorter lifespan.
