I wear a bracelet that my Granddaughter gave me for Christmas two years ago everyday since she gave it to me. Unfortunately I wore it one day with Ike washing my stairs with Clorox .Later I noticed that it was all pitted. I took it to Skip at Van Horns hoping they could recoat it. He said that wasn’t possible but he would try to polish it. Amazing, I went to pick it up and it looked brand new. Thank you so much Skip for saving this bracelet. It’s the sentimental value that matters! Now I can wear it again everyday but be more careful. Thank you thank you, thank you!!!!

Both customers and employees are all required to wear masks on premise. Customers are asked to keep the suggested 6 feet social distancing. Any merchandise worn is thoroughly cleaned. We ask that anyone experiencing any types of symptoms to wait until recovered to pay us a visit. Hand sanitizer stations are spread throughout the store. Counters, handles and other frequently touched places are cleaned multiple times throughout the day.
Hi Gerald, we buy gold for the melt value. We also provide official written appraisals for jewelry, we would just need to see the piece to know the exact pricing. Most appraisals start around $75 for the owner Skip to sit down, examine, and write up.... it just depends on the work involved! However, we are always happy to examine anything you bring in for free and tell you what we can about it while you wait!
Danielle, Yes we do, it is a 6 month layaway. We would need 10% down and then a 10% payment on the balance every 30 days.
