This piece of wood was replaced in April. Just months later the seam has separated.

We had a first rate awesome experience with Johnson County Windows who just installed our new windows in Leawood. We plan to use them again for our next project. Justin was easy to work with, very knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to guide us and answered all questions. The installers were professional, hard working and did a very nice job with no mess. I’m so glad we selected them for our project!

We are so very pleased with our choice of companies to install our house siding. The new siding looks beautiful, and we are receiving so many compliments on how nice our home looks with the new siding! The entire process from beginning to end exceeded our expectations. Each person we dealt with from the company was so professional, courteous and knowledgeable - they were always so willing to answer our questions. Thank you to Johnson County Siding & Window for doing such an awesome job!

Wow! The team from my first conversation to the completion of our siding job was extremely professional. They treated our house as their own. Took the time to walk through the job many times to make sure we approved and did we have questions/concerns. Everyday the job site was clean of debris. Oh...and they showed up when they said they would and finished when they said they would!!! We will be using them when we replace our windows.

Yes, replacing windows does increase your home’s value—not just monetarily, but in terms of overall appeal to potential buyers. According to Consumer Reports, homebuyers have named “energy efficiency” as the second biggest attribute that can influence a purchase (first place is a safe community). In other words, replacing your windows is one of the most important things you can do to impress buyers.
Vinyl windows have many things going for them; they are energy-efficient, durable, and generally have good warranties (although always read the fine print!). Fiberglass is a superb, energy-efficient material for constructing windows. It is also super-strong – anywhere from 3 to 8 times stronger than vinyl or vinyl/wood composites. This means that it can hold more glass with less framing material, giving you better views with more glass. Fiberglass windows generally cost more than vinyl windows, but many homeowners feel the upgrade in appearance and strength is worth it.
Cases involving: old age, rot, energy efficiency, and drafting are often the reasons why a homeowner would want to replace a window, rather than a simple repair.
When deciding whether to repair or replace your windows, everything depends on the type of problem you are having and the overall age of your windows.
If you have the funds to replace all windows at one time, this is always the best option. Replacing all windows will improve both the aesthetics and energy efficiency of your home. You can also avoid multiple service charges by completing all windows at one time and the warranties will be aligned.
True to their name, insert replacement windows are replacement windows that can be inserted into the old window frame, saving you the bulk or cost of needing a new window frame. In an insert replacement window installation, the installer removes the old window and its sashes and inserts this new window, leaving all the trim unbothered. It’s less mess, takes up less time, and it allows you to maintain your home’s aesthetic by keeping your old window frames. Only if you have a problem with the frame do you need a full-frame replacement.
Simonton windows are attractive, but some homeowners want to invest more and get the beauty of fiberglass windows. While there are other quality fiberglass and composite windows on the market, one brand really stands out: Marvin Windows. It depends on your priorities and tastes. Marvin windows will be more of an upfront investment, but many homeowners find them to be the more attractive option for their home.
It is possible to replace a window on your own, but that often comes with many associated risks and limitations. If you decide to choose the right contractor, you may often pay a higher upfront cost, but the long-term benefits such as warranties, quality of product, and support received will assure you that you've made the correct decision.
How much it costs for new windows in the Kansas City area hinges on a variety of factors—decorative features, energy upgrades, the material, and so on. But if you want a high-quality project, replacement window cost isn’t as important as replacement window value.
Here are five popular siding colors that won’t go out of style as the years go by: Cobble Stone, Antique Cinnabar, Nothing Old About Gray, Going Green With Flair, and Inspired by Blue.
