Rooms were dated but well kept. They had a microwave and small refrigerator. Good location and scenic grounds. Management was very friendly. Free coffee in the lobby.

Amazing little motel/hotel. Extremely friendly and hospitable couple that run the place. Incredible views and river out back. Also only a short drive from Hill Farmstead. Would strongly recommend to anyone and will definitely stay again if we make it back up that way!

Update: I am updating my original review of one star to four. Also added some photos. The owner reached out and offered a change of the date since they received and offline request for a booking from another party. However I decided to finally go and gone ahead with the booking. Reached quite late, quarter to 10 pm almost and the owner lady received us. Got the room quickly. The check-in process was smooth and had reasonable good amenities. Since this was budget hiking trip wasn't expecting something extravagant. So I was happy. No issues with hot water. The bath area was a bit cramped. But have seen similar bathing area in outer places as well. Morning coffee options were limited but good enough. The location was perfect. The surrounding were completely frozen so you cannot actually move around. There were some woods nearby which can be used I believe for campfire 🔥 during summer. It's a recommended place for stay, if you are into hiking, snowshoeing, skiing etc. ------ I am writing this review based on the reservation and not the actual stay. I made a booking through booking.com in this inn and the booking process was seemless. Problem happened with the weather and the huge snowstorm makes me think twice about the trip and decided to request a change of the date. I requested I reschedule of the stay through booking.com but since the cancellation window was over I was at the mercy of the hotel owner. I made a phone call for approving for the change of the date. And they politely declined. I would have been lenient in the scenario if I had to make the call, since safety should come first an not money. Hence I will had to cancel the booking with no refund. I am upset since this actually took away the zeal for me to go to hike in different state. This is a first time for me and it didn't work as planned.

I was running incredibly late and I called 2 hours before I would arrive. The gentleman on the phone was great. When I arrived at 10:00 p.m. I was greeted by Rita who was incredibly nice and personable. The room is warm and the bed was comfortable, I anticipate tomorrow morning shower will be great also. If I am ever in this area again I would make it a point to stay here just because of the warmness and personality of the owners.
