Was fine waiting in the entrance room to be taken to a room in the back, but once I was in the room I was left alone for an hour before I decided to stick my head out the door to ask if I had been forgotten. I ended getting an answer that was basically that they were busy and something about having to take care of virtual visits first. It ended up being an hour and a half before I got seen. It would have been nice to be updated instead of me having to ask, since it made me feel like I had been forgotten. The staff that did treat me though were great. Just wish that they handled the delay better.

Very nice staff.

VERY rude and unprofessional. Raised her voice and talked over me when I was explaining that our virtual visit was an hour late. She complained about being short staffed. Will stick to UHS from now on

Worst experience ever ...waited an hour over my time ....sent out for something that wasn't even close to my diagnosis...had to basically argue for an x-ray and thank the lord I did ...found plenty in that ...thanks for the orders and all my time smh

That should be fine. Just make sure you finish all of amoxicillin regardless of how you feel. Always feel free to call your primary for questions like this.
By staying home when you or a loved one is ill and washing your hands regularly, you can help keep yourself and your children healthy.
If you think your child has RSV or bronchiolitis, it is important to keep your child hydrated and monitor for fever or shortness of breath. Contact your child’s doctor, who can test for RSV and provide recommendations to keep your child safe at home. If your child’s health situation is serious or life-threatening, go to the nearest ER or call 911.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus, or RSV, may appear like a bad cold to adults. For infants or young children, RSV can cause bronchiolitis -- a virus which causes swelling and an increase in mucus in the airway. This can cause difficulty breathing through their nose and eventually dehydration due to difficulty latching to the breast or bottle for infants. Other symptoms of RSV may include a fever or a very wet sounding cough, which can turn into coughing fits. Those coughing fits can cause a child to gag and potentially vomit.

If someone is experiencing severe mental distress, care shouldn’t be delayed. A person experiencing a mental health crisis should go directly to the emergency room or call 911. ERs at Ascension hospitals are open 24/7, offering compassionate care for urgent mental health crisis intervention. And rest assured that safety precautions are in place to help protect patients and families.
While you don’t need an appointment at our urgent care and walk-in locations, you have the option of scheduling your visit online. You can select a time in the next 24 hours at a location that’s close to you, then wait in the comfort of your home.
Our urgent care clinics offer online check-in for patients so you can wait somewhere you feel more comfortable or walk in anytime.
Our urgent care clinics are ready to provide the care patients need in one place. Lab and imaging are available onsite.
We have fully staffed urgent cares to take care of your needs and to help reduce the time from door to doctor.
Because we’re more than urgent care, we can connect you to the follow-up care that’s right for you. We have a large network of specialists and a broad range of care options, so you can find a doctor that meets your needs.
Typically an urgent care visit will cost less than an ER visit, but this may depend on many factors, such as insurance coverage and/or the services required to address your health needs. Your co-pay and out-of-pocket costs at an urgent care clinic are typically much less than what you are charged at the emergency room.
Ascension urgent care teams treat common, non life-threatening, minor illnesses and injuries, including allergies, fever, severe sore throat, allergic reactions, asthma, cuts, back pain, minor burns and rash, bug and animal bites, cold and flu symptoms, sinus pain and ear infections, headaches, muscle sprains, strains and swollen joints, strep throat, pink eye, and UTI (urinary tract infections).
Ascension Online Care is available 24/7 when and where you need urgent care. If you can’t talk to your regular doctor, or if you need care more quickly, you can video chat with a doctor 24/7 through Ascension Online Care using your smartphone, tablet or laptop. Download Ascension Online Care from the App Store or Google Play or visit ascension.org/onlinecare to learn more.
Our urgent care teams are comprised of doctors, APRNs (advanced practice registered nurses), nurse practitioners and nurses.
When you need care more immediately and your regular doctor isn’t available, you may be trying to decide between urgent care or an emergency room. For life-threatening emergencies and serious illness or injury, such as shortness of breath, chest pain, open fractures or severe bleeding, go to an emergency room. When you need care for minor illness or injury, such as allergies, fevers, cuts without severe bleeding that may need stitches or a severe sore throat, and your doctor isn’t available, seek urgent care. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, go directly to the ER or dial 9-1-1.
