This is my favorite bar in KC! They have great specials on drinks and the staff here is always lovely. I also enjoy having a place to go to alone and read a book while having a drink. I recommend this place to everyone I talk to and if you are a book lover I highly recommend.

I have been here several times and have had a good experience each time. The Afterword staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We always enjoy the craft cocktails and enjoy the comfortable setting. It is an intimate place, but they have made the most of the space with plenty of tables, bar seating and two comfortable couch areas. I have not sat on the patio, but it looked inviting as well. The drinks aren't inexpensive, but then again they are craft cocktails and taste great. I've never taken the time to read a book while there, but I see several people engaged in their reading while Im there. I would probably be too distracted, but if that is your thing, you will enjoy it. I would recommend a visit.

My friends and I stopped here waiting for a concert. It was a neat little place. The bartenders were nice. It seemed all the patrons were looking at us like "why are you here?". That shouldn't reflect on the establishment, but it did create an unwelcoming atmosphere.
