I booked my 5-year-old her third ever appointment, excited to go get a fresh cut before the start of school. To start, Svetlana, the hairdresser was perfectly nice, attentive and did a lovely job during the appointment, 5 out of 5 for Svetlana. Brigitte Prat, the owner however, is another story and I hope for her sake that this was an off morning but given past reviews, I can see there is a clear pattern of her behavior. Here's our experience - My daughter and I were already running 5 behind and so I called the store as a courtesy to let them know that we were nearly there and would be max a few more minutes and finally, would that be an issue. The person on the line, the owner, brusquely repeated herself several times that if we were over 10 minutes behind they wouldn't accommodate us, she then yelled into the phone that I had hung up and pretended I wasn't on the phone anymore. It was very odd, but I hung up and we ran down the block to get there, hoping it was a misunderstanding. When I arrived I immediately tried to rectify the issue, especially for the benefit of my child so she would have a pleasant experience but Bridgitte wasn't having it and was angling for a fight, she doubled down by loudly and rudely telling me that we would only have 10 minutes for the cut - not something I can control since I wasn't cutting my child's hair... It was completely bizarre! To try and reset the situation, I even tried to talk to her quietly at the desk and she was acting totally nuts, impatient, dismissive and hysterical. It was shocking behavior. When I went back to the chair to be with my child (I couldn't believe I even had to have a word with this woman and leave my child!), I quietly asked Svetlana if something had happened to make her go off, she appeared behind me and told me loudly that she could hear me! It was so immature and unprofessional. I, again, was totally shocked at her conduct. At the end of the appointment, we waited to go and pay and this woman asked me what it was I wanted (!); to tip the hairdresser! I just literally can't. I would love to go back given the convenient location but I won't be taking my patronage to a business owner who treats people this way. Totally insane behavior. Don't give her a courtesy call either, she'll bite your head off and treat you and your child poorly in her store. Not worth the headache for a $37 children hair cut. I'll be going back to Edamama where, location might be further from home but the staff are nice and the store is clean and organized unlike the chaos we entered today. Good luck to you, Bridgitte. I hope you treat the next person you encounter with a bit more respect and decency.

This was a traumatizing experience for my child. They are not fit to deal with toddlers. They are impatient and really unprofessional. First thing that was said to me when I got there was “I’m just tired.” While I understand that it can’t be easy handling haircuts with children all day that shouldn’t be a reason to take out that aggression on a toddler. Find another profession.

The experience is fine. Child got his haircut with my help and that part of the experience is fine. The issue is the experience with the owner/front desk. Off-putting from the start. I've read multiple reviews and the negative ones are consistently referring to the same person. I dont think she has ill intentions in any way. I think she just lacks customer service skills. My advice is she needs hire someone with customer service experience while she can be the back-end manager that doesn't interact with people. I don't think she realizes she's adversely affecting her own business.

You can go there if your kid enjoys haircuts and has no problem with it . But if he/she hates it, nobody will help you out. I choose this place because I was thinking It’s specially for kids. But they have regular barber, who was scared to cut her finger and didn’t touch my kids head with scissor. Because my son was moving the hand. I’m so disappointed and never go back there.

My son is on the spectrum and he loves to go there.i buy him a toy everytime hes done with his haircut. He sees Luliana. She is amazing with him. She has alot patients and is very kind. They are very Autism/ Sensory friendly. They allow the child to choose a movie to watch while in the chair and all they really try there hardest to make parent n child comfortable
