This new company that owns Helen Odean is horrible. Work orders take forever, the new property manager is just non-chalant and unconcerned. There is one maintenance guy and he makes up excuses and lies as to why you have been waiting months on a work order. As a resident of the community you come home and you can't park near your home because visitors just take over racing the residents to a parking space. You come home from grocery shopping and have to walk far to your apt, Imagine being older and living alone with no help and you have to walk back and forth from far to unload your groceries. I called the office concerning parking and the manager was very unconcerned stating that they are not concerned with parking, because parking in the complex is like parking at Walmart, you just try to park anywhere. I was so surprised because you pay all this rent and you have to park anywhere because their are no available parking spaces where you live. There are residents that are shown special treatment concerning parking. One of my neighbors car has been broken down for months , flat tires and collecting rodents. I wonder what excuse or lie did they come up with to keep that broken down car in the lot for over 8 months.🙄

I wouldn’t deal with Continental as a tenant nor a property owner. Contemptuous!

Update: 1/10/2022: I was offered a meeting I never received. The neighbors are still making noise now its every night from 11 pm to 4 or 5 am on top of throughout the day and even noise cancelling headphones don't help and neither does calling the cops. They also refuse to replace my broken refrigerator so I'm constantly throwing away spoiled food which is wasting money I don't have. I hate living here, wish I could move but I can't and trying to get resolve from Continental Management is worst than local management. I will never rent from Continental Management again and recommend others not to either because there is nothing continental about they way they treat their tenants. I have been a resident with this company @PHP Apts for 14 years and use to love it but these last 4 have been awful. I've had to deal with noisy neighbors, packages being stolen, mice, roaches and repairs going undone. This complex use to be nice but the manager now doesn't care and neither does Continental Management. I've filed several complaints and all go ignored by this company and their staff at Prince Hall Place Apartments. I called Continental directly several times and was told I couldn't speak to the regional manager or get her email address but my sister in another complex they own emails her regional manager all the time. Now no one is answering the phone and the site office is closed until further notice. I wish I could just pick up and move but I can't. Its been so stressful I've had to get therapy and medication, that's the honest truth. I wouldn't recommend this company or Prince Hall Place Apartments to my worst enemy and I can't wait until I can move next year.

At their Baker Lofts property in Grand Rapids, MI, staff and management don't wear masks in height of the COVID-19 pandemic (citing vaccination, even though literally everyone is getting COVID - even the vaxxed.) Management threatens to do stuff they never do to change the course of this place. Said they were towing all non-tenant vehicles in the tenant parking area - still have yet to tow one car. As of 1/4/22, tenants in both buildings Baker Lofts and Klingman Lofts have been out of hot water for almost four days. Nothing gets fixed here. But trust me they'll let you know if you're a day late on rent! DON'T RENT HERE!!!! Contiental Management is a company who has monetized and maximized on the idea of affordable housing without taking care of their tenants and buildings.
