World class - we were here today and had a great morning. The playground is one of the few we've seen in Florida that is partially covered and offers the kids some shade. For children under 3 years, the playground is even free. The tour of the grounds lasted about an hour and was also very exciting. A lot of information about the farm, the individual plants etc. But the best part was the one with the animals. Absolutely impressive how great they care for the rescued animals here and completely sacrificed for them. There are African crocodile, two emus, raccoons, snakes, a falcon, a three year old alligator, a parrot and even more impressive animals that are allowed to live here in great conditions. Great praise to whoever takes care of all these animals!

The camp children absolutely love it here. The tram ride and guides are knowledgeable and entertaning. We really enjoy the playplace with the inflatables (including water slide) and the rescue animal exhibits, especially Ra 🐊 and Noodle 🐍. The bathrooms are clean and the picnic areas and most of the play space is well shaded. I'm glad they welcome us back every year 😃
Planet Peek-A-Boo
Mixon Fruit Farms is a really awesome place to explore and discover. If you're a family with kids you will love it. Take the Tram tour, see the Florida wildlife rescue area. They have an large gift shop with lots of goodies. Their juices are delicious. And Ice cream!!! The owners are wonderful and open their hearts to all that visit. They are also having fun children events... make sure you check their events calendar. We had so much fun filming an episode of our Planet Peek-A-Boo show called "Let's Move It" with Lillaquin. Take a peek.... We really do love Mixon Fruit Farms.. Check It out for yourself. #planetpeekaboo

Mixon has served the community since 1939. They have been there so long the city grew up around them. Family ran and operated with trusted friends and staff. I even met the owner and his wife while shopping. …Thank you so much Randy for your detailed five star review! Thank you for stopping in and taking the time to post your awesome review! Hope to see you again soon!

Orange Blossom Express Tours are Monday through Saturday at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00 November - April then May - October tours are Monday - Saturday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Tram Tour tour guide is Kaliah or Cindy and the tours last for about an hour and goes through the grove where you learn about Mixon Fruit Farms history and about the citrus and eatable bamboo we grow. Then on to the Wildlife Rescue where the rescued animals are cared for by Damen. Damen explains why the animals are here and lets guest get up close and pet or hold some. There are alligators, Crocodiles, several different birds, turtles, raccoons and python and more. It’s a fun and educational outing for the whole family. Best time to go is the morning because it’s cooler. If it is raining they cancel the tour. Arrive early and get your tickets at the cashier at the front of the store. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and kids 11 and younger are $5.00, plus tax. Kids 2 and younger are free. Thank you for your question.
You have to wear a mask inside the store and during the tour. They are fully operational otherwise, be sure to try the ice cream it's really good.
Sorry but no we do not allow you pick at our grove. We have plenty of fresh picked oranges and grapefruit in the store.
I don't understand, but if you're asking about ice cream , they have delicious orange & vanilla swirl cones & Salt Water Taffy .
You can probably pick off the oranges, though you need to pay?
No. You have to ride the trolley. There's very little walking involved.
It's a little pricey but it's fun something to do with children they have a good time, and don't know about the blood oranges.
No admission fee but there is one for the tractor pulled tour ride through the grounds. Delicious food inside the store, as well as samples of products and their famous orange and vanilla soft I've cream twirl! Tastes just like a creamsicle (sp?) in a cone!
