Very nice and clean, super friendly and helpful staff, great location! The staff was so nice and gave us recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. Breakfast was much better than I expected but, eat early! We ate at 8:00 and at 9:30, it was very busy. Great location to walk downtown but far enough away from the busyness. We really enjoyed our stay here!

The staff here is exceptional! They truly go above and beyond their duties. When we arrived, I quickly realized that I had a mechanical problem with my vehicle. I contacted the towing company, but I would not be able to wait for them to pick-up my truck. The ladies at the front desk not only held my key for the towing company, but made sure that they identified themselves, give my full name, and give them the name and address to where they were taking my truck for repair. They are the best! I may return to Helen just to hang out with them!

Excellent hotel with a staff that takes pride in their property. I was passing through for one night and decided to stay here as it was the only Marriott-branded hotel in the area. Upon arriving at the property, I found it exceptionally clean and well maintained; I thought it only opened a few weeks ago when it had actually been operating a year and a half. I was greeted by the front desk staff, who were very happy to help me. The woman who was being trained at the front desk immediately thanked me for my loyalty (I've been Gold for a few years now), and upgraded me to a suite, which is rare at Bonvoy properties anymore. Before I even went to my room, they gave me dinner recommendations and answered other questions I had. The room was just as clean as the rest of the hotel and very spacious. I regularly forgot it was a Fairfield Inn as it seemed on-par with Marriott's more upmarket brands. While the mattress was on the firm side, it was within the range of normal hotel beds and I had no problems sleeping. The hotel is located on a small hill at the edge of the commercial area of town. Depending on how much you like walking, pretty much everything is within walking distance, but some not so comfortably. The upside is that the hotel is very quiet, as it's far enough away from other businesses that you don't hear the noise in the rooms. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. It was refreshing to have real breakfast foods instead of prepackaged garbage that Marriott corporate is trying to force on their economy-oriented properties. The front desk employee happily gave me a late checkout so I could catch up on some sleep. At checkout I had the opportunity to speak with the general manager, who seemed genuinely interested in the success of the property. I was happy to have an opportunity to personally thank her for operating one of the friendliest and best-run properties in the Marriott portfolio, especially now as Marriott's corporate leadership has gotten ambivalent and in some cases outright hostile toward customer service. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area.

I stay in a lot of hotels across the US. I've seen every shape and size. This place is clean, in great condition, the staff is friendly and helpful. It's close enough to the shops that you could walk if you wanted, but I went and parked at a pay to park place anyways. My room was excellent. My bed was soft and clean. The TVs were new and clear pictured. Absolutely no complaints on the room and facilities. My other issue is that they don't have an outside fire pit and sitting area. But the staff at the front desk said one will be going in soon in the rear of the building. Guess I'll get to enjoy it next time we stay for the weekend.
