I've been shooting here for a long time and found it to be an average range, with typical amenities, but for some reason their "rangemasters" seem to take pleasure in scolding people. I Tolerated the attitude, but when they DOUBLED the price overnight, they lost my business. Shooting there is now unaffordable for a family.

Have been going here for 3years regularly. Get there early 8 am before people start to pile in . The pistol area is very fun to train on and there rifle side has a good amount of long range steel targets to shoot . Be mindful of you're neighbors use the provided nets on you're table to prevent the brass from flying all over the place , On the other hand The older RSO's male and female are big fudds and unaware of there racist remarks, there knowledge of firearms isn't impressive at all very basic and alot of the times wrong. Enjoy

Hi, SLOSA does have a Trap and Skeet range. In addition, shotguns are allowed on the SLOSA Rifle-Pistol range under the following rules: 1. Shotguns with rifled slugs are allowed only on the rifle side. Please ask one of the RSOs for an older target board as the slugs tend to tear up the target boards pretty quickly. 2. Shotguns shooting bird shot or target loads (7.5 or 8 shot shell) are only allowed on the handgun side, shooting only at the one legged steel man target which is at 20 yards. Bird shot/target loads (7.5 or 8 shot) is only allowed on the steel target as described above. Rifled slugs can only be shot at a target at any distance on the rifle side.
Yes, non members are allowed.
I believe the long range shooting is in the same area as all the other Rifle and Pistol not sure the hours
Nicest range in Cali..Rifle to 450 yrds And New Delta range to 985
Tonight at 5:30
You may shoot by yourself as long as you are 18 or older.
Shotgun always closes during rain. Rifle/Pistol depends on how busy it stays. Always a good idea to call ahead.
I'm sorry, we don't.
We don't currently have a rifle safety class, but I can check with some of our staff to see if anyone could give them a basic safety orientation. You are more than welcome to bring them to the rifle/pistol range to get them started. Also, on the 1st Saturday evening of every month we have a Pop Gun night for kids, it's pellet guns and .22's only. They could get a lot of help there.
There is no specific range for airguns, But Airguns are welcome at many of the ranges here. I bring my Airgun to every outing. Come out to the "Long Range" It's a left at Hogue range down the dirt road past Black powder. I'm there almost every Sunday morning with my 7.62mm Machine gun. It's full auto and runs on 4500PSI so it's not regulated by ATF! Just ask and I'll let you give it a go, It's a kick in the pants and it can chop a 2x4 in half at 75 Yards at a cycle of 1000 ends/min.
Unfortunately, no we are not. We are governed by Fish & Wildlife and they have not given us the go ahead yet.
Yes plenty of spaceto do so.At the rife pistol range you can put paper targets out to 300yards.
Not sure if the give instructions there...best thing to do is have a friend with a 22lr and introduce them to the sport that way..(if possible)..?? You can always call them and ask..they will probably know someone...Good luck...
December 25th and January 1st both fall on Tuesdays this year and the SLOSA range is always closed on Tuesdays, so no change there. We haven't set hours for Dec 24th or Dec 31st yet. Look for an announcement on www.slosa.org next week as well as an e-blast to all members.
Foreigners are welcomed and encouraged. You can rent shotguns for trap and skeet. Rifles and pistols aren't available for rent.
Not sure about those categories, but I know you can get a discount for being a member. Ask when you get there!
The shooting fees are $10.00 per person per day for SLOSA members and $20.00 for non-members. Accompanied minors shoot for $10 regardless of whether the family has a membership. And now anyone with a student ID shoots for $10! Includes Eye and Ear Protection, Targets, Spotting scope.
They have a skeet / trap area. Long guns are allowed in the standard pistol / rifle area, but shotguns depends on the RSO and typically only allowed on the steel side one on target.
Yes this is a public firing range. Memberships are available but the General Public can participate by paying a daily fee.
