I brought here very important clients of mine, the idea was to make them have great time at The Nice Guy. We ended up having the worst time. Even though I made a reservation way in advance me and my guests had to wait more than an hour by the bar. We never got sat. Looks like tips get you the tables here rather than the actual reservations made in advance. On top of that their manager, was extremely unprofessional and unethical towards me and my guests. He definitely couldn’t handle the situation. Needless to say, we left after waiting more than an hour, luckily we found a place that treated us way better. Nobu saved the day, oh well

I was staying at Sofitel & had just gotten in from London. Showered put on a pair of jeans & a fitting halter top with my US open hat & walked a couple blocks since I’m new to the area. I just needed an entree & red wine. The outside seemed intriguing but the area is very questionable; almost a bit scary. The guy at the door told me I couldn’t get in because I had on sandals 😅 they were dressy flat sandals. I just laughed & walked back to Sofitel for suggestions (surprisingly they said they never suggest this place to their clientele). I ended up going to the Henry right off Beverly Blvd- much nicer space, safer, cleaner area & vibrance - I ended up getting seared ahi tuna entree & red wine at the Henry instead-which was a much better experience & most importantly- dressed the same no questions asked 😊. So now every person I know who stays at the Sofitel for our work projects will never go to “the Nice Guy”….ironically not so nice. Put the silly dress code requirements on your website.
