Neighborhood convenience! Marginally higher prices. Employees (though neophyte) offer help in instead of avoiding eye contact (as happens @BigBox). Try to stifle a knee-jerk reaction to what seems clustered and chaotic upon entering. Employees will quickly help you make sense of it.

Penny helped my daughter and I select the PERFECT pulls and knobs for our new kitchen! She found just what we were looking for, then made sure our counts and sizes were accurate. We LOVE the American Diner knobs and pulls. The guy at the desk at Modern Hardware was always super friendly. Great service and products. We recommend and will definitely go back.

Excellent hardware store with a hometown fee. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and they treat you like a friend. I like that you can purchase smaller quantities of certain items, like screws, bolts, washers, etc., without needing to buy a large box of 50 or 100 (or more). I have found that some areas of the store have a somewhat limited assortment of items, but they carry all of the basics you would need from hardware store, and in most cases you have several options to choose from (e.g. locks, switches, etc.). Their prices are on par for a hometown hardware store, which is noticeably a bit higher that prices you find at a large home improvement store, which is fair considering the convenience factor. Overall I find Modern Hardware Inc. to be a fantastic and reliable resource for all of our home and business office needs. Highly recommended. 👍
