I grew up around this place. It's so peaceful and fun kayaking down the Thornapple river. It gets pretty busy on the weekends. So get your parking spot early.

If you are looking for a 3 to four hour paddle, go down to Cascade Dam . There is a great park and lots of parking there. Also there is a kayak take out there with steps.
