Yes it's different, the difference is donating blood is healthier for you rather than donating plasma because donating plasma just takes out the plasma in your blood & than pumps your blood back in with the plasma missing. Whereas donating blood just donates your blood in it's entirety without doing anything extra to it like donating plasma does. It's healthier to donate blood once or twice a year instead of donating plasma twice a week which isn't in your best interest health wise, don't take your good health for granted. Expensive hospital bills, health insurance, etc will make you regret all of it.
