Beautiful place, but the main entrance is off airport road and has a sign. The entrance on Localizer (where google maps takes you) leads to a one lane road with rocks, brush and puddles. It also dead ends into a lake where the trail is shown.

A flat and level walk on a well graded surface, or perhaps a nice xc ski or snowshoe if there aren't too many snowmobiles. Good birding

I don't believe so...but have no direct sources. It is below Cherry Mountain and I assumed the pond and area were named by French speaking settlers in reference to the mountain.
