Many native plants. Nice trails. Lots of butterflies. Butterfly identification aid by trail.

Questions & Answers

Are there ravens in Martin County?

Herb Fastrich | Jun 26, 2022
Audubon of Martin County | Jun 26, 2022

The Common Raven can be found throughout Canada and along the Rocky Mountains into Mexico. It's cousins, the American Crow (found throughout North America) and the Fish Crow (abundant throughout the southeast) are most likely what you've seen.

Do you know a goose-like bird. Taup brown color, light chest and neck, dark brown circle around eyes, and dark dot on breast, darker brown wings and auburn, grey with streaks of white on the end of its tail. Often seen around Sandridge Golf course?

I think Sue is correct having reread your description. The circle around the eye is the key.
