This builder (MINTO) is NOT realtor friendly. It doesn't matter if it was 5, 15 or 30 years ago -- if your client has EVER registered at the sales center, online or by phone, they will NEVER let them have a realtor represent them again. Most of these people are just coming to look at models and don't even understand they are registering as a buyer when they visit. I gave the sales rep my clients information and then spent two hours with my client showing them through the models and explaining to them why this was the community for them (over the community that was going to pay me 5% commission - 2% more!). Then when we left, I checked my voicemail and I had a message from the sales rep saying my clients couldn't have realtor representation because they came into the sales center FIVE YEARS ago with out a realtor. So ridiculous that Minto would rather have buyers build somewhere else then let their realtor represent them. The market is changing and realtors will remember who treats them like garbage when builders are trying to woo us to bring our clients there. My advice to realtors -- GO TO SKY COVE. They are much more flexible.

My husband and I heard about West Lake from some local friends and we decided to check it out. We went on a Saturday and had an appointment in the afternoon with Kendra to discuss our options and tour the model homes. Kendra right away was super personable and made us feel so welcomed! She explained in detail how the process works, the types of floor plans, and the future plans Minto has for the community. We toured the pool site too which was stunning. Kendra was extremely knowledgeable and we appreciated that she took the time to really get to know us. She’s been in contact with us both email and phone and we truly appreciate all the follow ups. We’re excited to begin this journey and we hope to call West Lake our home in the near future

No cancer cluster. Unfounded
1) The new Westlake ER just south of the gas station on Pratt Whitney is the closest facility. 2) There is also an Urgent Care at Southern and B Road. 3) Palms West on Southern boulevard is the closest full service hospital
Hard to supposition that the pesticides that Callery Judge used are any worse than any other agriculture in Florida, or even all the weed killer and pesticides in every garage of the average Acreage home. My first home in Acreage was on well water, similar to most of Loxahatchee. The Westlake community itself is on city water, like city of West Palm Beach. All testing from DEP, environmental agencies and law firms into the wells and canals around Acreage haven't conclusively pointed to the source of the 13 pediatric cases which are statistically abnormal for the estimated population size (although many anecdotally blame P&W with their numerous documented leaks and spills over 30 years). These cases were spread out over 20+ years and is not much different than St Lucie's own cancer cluster with almost the same number of cases. To put this "greatly affected" in context, most of Florida is statistically above normal for skin cancer AND cateracts compared to other states.
They sold a section to Kolter which I believe is building an age restricted community. It will have access to the Westlake Adventure Park and could be as many as 800 homes when built out. Update : The Kolter community is called Cresswind, for 55 and older : https://www.kolterhomes.com/new-homes/westlake-florida-active-adult-cresswind-palm-beach/
