I feel bad about leaving this; the people I speak with are always very pleasant. But the department is run and managed horribly. I won't go into the details, I'll just say they had a hiccup in their system and I was trying to get my bill paid online (or through their phone system) and it was an absolute ordeal. Good grief.

Outdated power grid is causing higher than normal power bills. The wires that feed power have not been updated for over 20 years. I have a friend who lives in uncorporated Lake Worth and have FPL power. We have all the same appliances and air conditioning units. Her house is 150 square feet bigger than mine, under air conditioning and we have all energy efficient lighting and appliances. Her bill from FPL is over $100.00 less than mine.Just sell out already. They cannot afford to fix anything. Just called customer service about the recent bill that is $100.00 higher, the customer representative was rude and interrupted the conversation. My neighbor is in the same situation and he is a master electrician who told me it's been over40 years since he lived here and the power grid has never been updated. We still have wooden power poles and every other power company has gone to concrete power poles😡. Sell the City of Lake Worth Beach Power to someone who can updated your services. Now they are struggling because of the bill that was passed by the Florida State Governor, Ron DeSantis for solar payback programs. To bad so sad. Bye-bye to City of Lake Worth Power. 😡

what lake worth utilities needs is competition, i'm sure if there was another company offering power in the city they'd step up their collective game, as it is they have a captured audience so quality service isnt all that important.

I don't see why not. You'd just have to show ownership and pay your deposit.
If you have good credit, you'll only pay $52 for the connection fee. If you don't have good credit, you have to pay $250 down payment which you get back in 2 years plus the $52 connection fee.
Hello, the best thing is that you go to the offices and do it personally.
