As a local, this tends to be my go-to bike ride when I want to ride something fairly low-key (no more than 5% grade and non-motorized access only for a good chunk of this portion of the highway). This non-motorized section is a little under 9 miles round trip, so good for an afterwork ride. Only thing you have to look out for though are tourists on e-bikes who sometimes like to speed through like they're on motorcycles. Also have to look out for tourists who like to walk three-humans' wide across the width of the trail which frequently results in my "on your left!" calls. Tends to be a more enjoyable ride when traffic (foot and e-bike) is lighter and courtesy rules are followed.
