This is the Alice In Wonderland of clothiers that I just stumbled upon quite by accident this rainy afternoon. Upon entering the store the first person to greet me was the well-mannered and friendly Shelley Bruce, who was kind enough to unfold some really nice shirts for me to try on at my leisure. I want to point out here that stores that are accommodating generally have the most success in making the sale. Shelley went way and above, unfolding the neatly displayed shirt that I wanted to try on, removing the tissue paper and pins that held the shirt together. I tried it on in the changing room, liked it, came out and saw an even better and much more expensive shirt that I had to have no matter what!!!! She then put the first shirt back together, went through the trouble of unpacking the second option and after I tried it on I knew I had a hit on my hands. In short, I was able to choose a shirt that made me happy because Paul Stuart makes the shopping experience effortless, thanks to the likes of amazing individuals like Shelly who tirelessly work there. The store itself has vast arrays of high end clothing on display from jackets, coats, shirts and neckties to shoes, all housed in a huge space that you can pleasantly get lost in. This is a highly recommended place to shop at.

If the new owners want to keep the storied brand of Paul Stuart intact, they are going to have to do it with better managers. Michael Burns was immediately curt and unpleasant and it only deteriorated from there. Alienating customers and marring the iconic brand because Burns can’t keep his contempt for the customers in check isn’t going to work in the long run.

A nice selection, but almost immorally marked up. This is acceptable, strictly from market perspective, but so is low rating from a customer who does not appreciate it. For example: a techno-fabric coat from Schneiders that can be had for 199 USD is sold here for 1150 + tax. And the sales assistants were not willing to honor a 20% discount, which ran on the website. Again, no complaints, but no reason for a good rating. A customer like me has to walk away feeling like a winner. At least occasionally. At Paul Stuart, Paul Stuart is always the winner, and the price is not right.
