Entrance is a lil confusing to find, but if you go south on 21st & pass the convenience store, you'll find the stairwell entrance to the second floor with all the classes. The instructor of Vogue beginners was awesome & made the class fun!

I love this place. They have great classes that are beginner and intermediate friendly. The instructors are incredible, patient, knowledgeable, and very fun. I was a bit nervous in the beginning because I had never taken any dance classes before in my life. The teachers create and maintain classes that are challenging enough for intermediate dancers, as well as beginners. I really really love this studio and cannot recommend it enough for others. They also offer the first month at a super low price. That was enough of a non-commitment to encourage me to start. This place has truly become a home for me. Thank you guys for being so sweet and welcoming.

We have a separate youth program called MoveMakers Philly. Check it out! www.movemakersphilly.com
Hey, Salome! If you go on their website, you will find a link for something called mindbody. You would use that to make an account and sign up. If not, you can look at the dance schedule to know what class you'd be interested in and arrive 15 before class to sign up and pay! I hope this helps!
Hi! UMA is home to various professional crews and performers. If you're interested in booking dancers for an event, email us!
I've taken great classes here - Some special event pop up classes; monthly memberships available, Drop in for an indoor, outdoor or online streamed zoom class for sometimes only 15 to 20 dollars! You can see the full offering by the studio and its current instructors classes and book and pay on the Mind / Body App or UMA website https://www.urbanmovementarts.com/
Yes. Tai Chin runs in 12 week series only. There is no regular drop in. For Qi Gong, there is a drop in every week. The latest info on Tai Chi Series start dates are on the homepage of the website.
Yes! There are people if all ages & it's a very friendly laid back environment
But dance is mainly with the body, so I don't think it's an issue if you don't understand everything they're saying. You can learn by doing.
