The drive to the campground is open greenery and impressive views of mountains predominantly Mt Shasta and Mt Lassen. The campground is nested among shrub oaks that provide a camping experience of inside a safari except no wild animals. Love the colored trails and view of sunset. Zero light pollution that enhances stargazing of the northern night sky. I stepped out and was impressed that the giant big dipper dinstinctly bright and almost within reach from my head. Love the quietness and privacy that we extended our stay.

My husband and I stayed at Lassen RV Resort a couple weeks ago for several day and loved it! If you prefer a campground style experience instead of a standard RV park you will love it too. The owners are awesome people who go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience and resolve problems quickly. The grounds are beautiful, with hiking trails to explore and many unexpected art treasures to discover along the way. I highly recommend it. There is also so much nearby to explore, including the Fall river valley, lava beds volcanic national monument, and a sweet find - the Ahjumawi lava springs state park, which can only be accessed by boat, bring your kayaks.

From the moment we pulled up to the office to check in, we were greeted warmly by the staff. Very friendly. The RV resort itself was very well maintained and very beautiful. We took advantage of the pool because it was very hot. We went to see Bernie McArthur Falls and Lassen Volcanic National Park, both of which were great. There is a lot of fun things to do in the area if you love the forest. We definitely plan to return to this RV resort.

This place is a gem! Great owners who really take pride in their park. The park is small in capacity, with only 34 sites, but large in land. It's spread out with a state park feel. Our site was longest we have ever stayed in, and as another reviewer pointed out was more like a long gravel drive vice your average RV site. The park has an abundance of trees, but they do not impede maneuvering to/from your site. The new owners have put a lot of effort into adding details to the park including sports equipment to borrow at the office, trails throughout the facility and even some surprise art on the trails. Verizon service is minimal, but camp wifi with paid and free options worked well for us. Night skies are amazing out here and the sunsets on the rainbow trail overlooking Mt Shasta are pretty great, too. Nice pool, volleyball court, tether ball, and horseshoe pits. Tips: Lassen Volcanic National Park’s north visitor’s center is about one hour fifteen minutes from the park. If you travel to the southern visitor’s center you’re looking at about a 2 hour round trip. Be sure to pack lunch, as there are minimal service along the route. Prior to entering the NP, visit Subway Cave in Lassen National Forest near Hat Creek. The 1/3 mile cave was formed by a lava tube. Bring a flashlight and a jacket.
