Scott was amazing and thoroughly knowledgable on the complex laws regarding divorce and alimony. He helped me devize a negotiating strategy that worked well with my wife and prevented us from going over the financial cliff of acrimonious and extended litigation. My wife and her attorneys fought very hard for additional monthly durational alimony after already providing an offer of 50/50 division of all assets plus a generous lump sum alimony. I was able to keep with the lump sum alimony rather than be stuck with a permanent durational alimony, even though I was married 27 years and this type of settlement is unusual. We are now almost finished with the divorce and each planning for second chapters and we will both be fine and I am not stuck with paying durational alimony or the massive attorney fees that would have been the result of litigation. Thank you Scott for the great work. I am forever grateful.

It is almost impossible to place into words the gratitude I have for Gary and his team. Coming out of near 7-year marriage with two very young children, I spent weeks trying to find the right attorney for what I knew would be a long road ahead. After countless interviews (and perhaps too much due diligence,) I landed upon a female attorney in Boca Raton, who after nearly a year of ZERO progress, I decided to 'divorce' as well. Then came Gary - referred by a chance meeting my mother had with a former client - who spoke angelically of him and his abilities. I called: hysterical, reeling from the trauma of a horrid first attorney experience, and needing to regain some traction with my efforts to leave my marriage now almost a year prior. Gary proved to be the most valuable resource I could have ever uncovered; not only because of his legal prowess, personal and professional character, true and just integrity, sound reasoning and overall smarts, but even more profoundly, for the efforts he made to remove the emotions from the situation, and deal with the facts (the ONLY items that actually matter when dealing with a marital dissolution). My situation was so convoluted with drama, trauma, heartache, betrayal...my list could go on and on. Instead of draining my pockets listening to my emotional rants on the 'unfairness' of the legal system and the disadvantages I was facing in my particular set of circumstances, Gary acknowledged and validated my feelings, then moved me to a place of action based on the things I in fact could control. After sitting in neutral with an embarrassment of an attorney for 12 months, Gary took our case into high gear, amending items that needed immediate action, and beginning the process that would ultimately resolve my divorce less than a year later. Things were not always easy; things got messy and things at points in time felt totally out of control, but I trusted Gary implicitly, and relied on his competence and tenure to steer me through the inevitable curves to more stable, solid ground. To Gary - and his team - I owe my most immense gratitude; for listening, understanding, taking the time to learn my case and my specific situation (and its nuances,) and for spending hours, days, weeks, months working to the benefit of our final outcome. Choosing an attorney is personal - the relationship is intimate, stressful, overwhelming and full of surprises. If my story sounds like yours - if you feel lost, unsure, confused, scared, out of options and just looking for the next right thing, please trust in Gary. He will be the best choice you will ever make!!!

Mr. Weiner worked with our family to resolve a complicated legal issue. He is reliable, extremely knowledgeable and was excellent in achieving a favorable outcome for us. It's hard to find good attorney's who know how to manage the legal system effectively, but Gary succeeded. I highly recommend his services.

Working with Gary and his team has been an experience that I’ll never forget. Gary helped me through a very difficult time in my life and gave my case the attention needed to achieve the results that I had only hoped for. His professionalism and attention to detail are unmatched. I was told by a friend that he’s the go to guy in Palm Beach. I was skeptical, but after working with him and his team, in my opinion, he’s the best that’s out there. I would highly recommend Gary. He truly cares about his clients; a trait that can’t be taught and one that is truly genuine to Gary! Thanks Gary.

In Florida, contempt of court can be divided into criminal and civil offenses. Depending on the details of the case, either criminal or civil procedure would apply. To learn more, contact Weiner & Weiss in Boca Raton today.
The no-fault rule does not mean that all divorces in Florida are uncontested. Spouses may disagree over certain issues, such as child custody, property distribution, child support and spousal support. When divorcing spouses go to trial to resolve such issues, the case is called a contested divorce. Contact Weiner & Weiss today to learn more.
