The renovations are awesome. I hope they are able to keep the place up. While the area outside and around this hotel may not seem / feel safe or pleasant, for the price the quality of the room, staff and free breakfast was worth much more than the price we paid. I will stay here again as I visit often.

They are charging 373 dollars a room to people from the detwiler fire. They are a bunch of POS people that own and work at this hotel and should be shut down. Taking advantage of the people that got evacuated is not cool some of them could of lost their houses and the hotel is trying to take all their money. You can get nicer rooms in monterey for that price and be right by the beach. This hotel is garbage and so are the owners.

I've stayed here twice. First bad experience with a heavy Hispanic gal with glasses. Says she's Monica but her shirt says Maria An Older Middle Eastern gentleman manager apologized for her rude behavior the following day. Decided to give another try. Other three ladies at desk are all very nice and I don't see the rude one now. I like the clean rooms and the fast wifi and discount at the adjacent Denny's. Decided to keep coming back now

This hotel was/is NOT a place for family!!! We stayed one night for less than 3 hours due to the partying noise,the constant knocks at the door soliciting prostitution. .the constant bangs on the walls.. the very dirty cigarette burned "non-smoking" room. Yes it is right by the highway and convenient for travel but Budget Inn really really needs to step it up. Security wise, sanitary wise, amongst other things......
