The food was ok by itself but incredibly disappointing considering the cost and ratings this restaurant had. I went with my partner and spend $500 between the two of us for Omakase and a middling bottle of Sake. Of the 25 small plates served in the Omakase, I thought 3-4 were exceptional but the rest were identical to what could be had at most other Japaneae restaurants in the area for a fraction of the cost or hassle. Service was excellent, nothing bad to say there but I left feeling underwhelmed by the food given the expectation set by other reviews and the price. Wouldn't return.

I need to come back with a hunger to give this one a solid review. Make a reservation, I was able to get in with out one. Sushi is slightly on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. I want to try the chef's meal next time, make sure to bring your wallet.

Despite the recently-awarded Michelin Star (congrats!), they have not deviated from their roots and are delivering amazing old-school traditional edomae-style sushi/sashimi preparations + traditional Japanese izakaya dishes. Reservations now take a bit longer lead time to get, but it’s totally worth it as Tadokoro is still staying true to form…

Yes, was just there last week. They are still open accepting reservation only.
Sushi Tadokoro is super safe. No dining inside, but awesome staff. I highly recommend
