Not a good experience. There is only on street parking and you can't park in front of the hotel parking is very limited in the area. The first room I got the TV wouldn't work so the lady came up and moved me to another room and that TV didn't work either and I realized there was no refrigerator which I need for my medicine so I just left. Now I've got $300 tied up I hope I don't have a problem getting it back. I was at the hotel all of 15 minutes it was a mistake I'm not picky but I don't know how they justify the prices they charge.

1st DOGS ALLOWEDπŸ’™. The location is cool to a point. Businesses surround this location which is convenient and you're close to everything but that can also be an annoyance because of loud bars and people. I love the old building and all its quirks but be aware the windows are thin and it is loud. Monday around 615 the garbage pickup begins and its loud as hell and lasts about 20 minutes and starts again in another hour maybe. Bring ear plugs! Overall I dont have any complaints besides getting woken up by people doing their job and that isn't really a reflection of the hotel.

An older quaint hotel in the very middle of Arcata, right on the square. The stairs on the big broad staircase creak softly as you climb on the carpeted riser in a soothing, comforting way. Rooms are older but very sufficient. The shower is an old claw-foot bathtub surrounded by a curtain and the entire frame is made of brass. Rooms have TV and coffee maker. A great value especially if you appreciate older architecture and design.

I'm conflicted. For one night, it was an experience but I wouldn't stay again. It is an historic hotel and so just recognize these limitations. Smaller odd-shaped rooms, dated paint and no modern amenities. The room had a claw-foot tub with a decent shower. Although a central location on a pleasant town square, it's frequented by homeless people making it less desirable when leaving the hotel.

Questions & Answers

Would you, perhaps, have a special rate for two weeks stay, 2 adults? A long term rate? Something I've always wanted to do!

They might, the hotel is under new management so not many rooms are for sale
