I had a regular manicure done there last Thursday, Sept 8th, which cost me $18. By the next day, Friday, it had started chipping away on the edges. I was in a weekend of service at church away from the area, and when I returned it was Sunday evening and the place was already closed. I couldn't get there on Monday because they work Tuesday-Sunday. When I passed by today after work, I explained the situation to the manager and he told me I should've called and sent him a picture of the manicure and asked for his help the moment it started to break apart. I tried to explain him that I didn't have the time to do it, and it'd have been worthless as I wasn't in the West Kendall area. I asked what could he do for me and he said he could have one of the technicians re-apply the color, without any manicure (no cuticle cleaning, no nail filing, no base coat, etc) and for "only $9". I told him if I had paid $18, the manicure shouldn't have started chipping away the next day in the first place, and to prove my point I showed him my nails and asked him how could a regular manicure look like that after just 4 days. I then asked had I come on Friday, would I had been given a refund, to which he bluntly replied that they never give any refunds under any circumstances. I'm not coming back to that place anymore, this is the last straw, and I've given this place a lot of chances because it's so nearby. He saw my fingernails with the paint practically chipped half in each of them after just 4 days, and simply shrugged and said that that's what happens with regular manicures. In that case, they're not worth the 18 bucks to begin with.
