Great staff to work with. The kids have a great time here. Recommend this place for the whole family.

We had a fun experience. Our first time going. Lines move pretty quick. Open fam skate is 3 to 5. Plenty of time to have fun, they had games and you could still skate if you didn't want to participate in the games. They also had a section marked off for the more in experienced kittles and first timers. I totally recommend giving it a shot.

Our kids had fun. The staff could use more customer service training and monitoring but more importantly there needs to be a strong customer service-based culture.

I love skate town! The workers are nice and considerate. The pro shop workers are too, there are two rinks, rink 1 is usually the only rink open for public sessions sometimes they open rink 2 tho. I use to take lessons and I’m going to start up again soon!

You can rent figure skates or hockey skates. Just depends on your skating style...
During the holiday pricing (now), adults are $15 each, kids under 10 y/o are $13, and under 4 y/o are $7. Includes skate rental. Regular times, $9.50 for adults, $8.50 for under 10 y/o, plus $3.50 for skate rental. Or under 4 y/o, $6 total.
Hours for Oct 21 are 10am-noon and 2-5pm. Daily session times are here: skatetown.biz
on their site there’s info on ice skating lessons! the lessons vary depending on what’s actually available, i am currently on a 4-week lesson plan with each lesson being 30 minutes there were two packages for that, one being around 65 dollars and the other being 115 dollars- they add skates to the 115 dollar one! Hope you found this helpful!
You can hold the railing that keeps the glass in place, it's about hip level for most adults. The buckets are mostly intended for children but adults are more than welcome to use them on that side of the ice. Have fun!
You can purchase tickets at the door. Link to our schedule:https://www.skatetown.biz/PublicSessionSchedule
Paige - we are not currently hosting public skating sessions due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Please check our website in late November for an update. Thanks for thinking of us!
Spectators are welcomed now but must wear mask and social-distance in the bleachers, lobby and patio. Enter thru the front door for a temperature check.
The website will have the most up-to-date info, but you can always call too. They are helpful and friendly over the phone.
When we went it was about $15 per person with skate rental
Indoor rink is always open when scheduled, regardless of the weather.
We have daily public sessions in February. The session times for February 10 are 10am-noon and 2-5pm.
Please contact Susan @ (916) 783-8550 for private ice events - broomball, curling and skating.
Skatetown-hosted birthday parties which include a private party room, food, beverage, skating and a party hero can be booked online and in-person. No walk-in parties allowed. Visit www.skatetown.biz/Birthday-Parties for more info.
Great place to take pictures! There is the ice before and after they smooth it out with the machine, the benches/lockers beofre and after, the rows of shoes... and so much more. Even people if it's done tastefully (maybe from top of the stands) and as a group. I take my kids there and I would get very upset and a camera may get broken if somebody took a picture of them without my permission. So get permission from the human subject and their parents and it should be fine.
We are open year round with the exception of Easter Sunday, July 4 and Thanksgiving Day
They take care of ice many times during a day. If you stay longer you can see it because they force all people off the ice for about 10-15 minutes and fix the ice.
No Bavarian curling, but we do offer curling through the Wine Country Curling Club. For more info and a list of curling classes, visit https://www.skatetown.biz/GROUPS-Corporate-Events/Curling
https://www.skatetown.biz/Public-Skating/ADMISSION-PRICES If you follow this link, it has all of the prices of the public sessions at skatetown. Look at the schedule as well, certain days during the holiday season are a different price to skate than usual.
Yes - they can be purchased in person. Thanks for asking.
The rate depends on age General admission $9.50 Youth (10 yrs & under) $8.50 Skate Rental $3.50
Yes, there is a curling league/association that is active at this facility.
There is a schedule with curling events but the rink they use for it shares the space with hockey games
A sweater or lap blanket is a must! It is a maximum of 60 degrees inside. They do have pay-for -it-yourself heating @ 25 cenys for 10 minutes, but it isn't enough to keep you warm without a sweater or coat.
I believe there's a party calculator on their websit.
There are sleds and there are also buckets that they can lean against and skate with to use as support. They also offer free skating lessons mid skating sessions sometimes.
Yes. There are always emergency personnel there just in case of a fall. There are also people that go up and clean the ice if any bodily fluids are spilled on the ice. They also have a special area for learning how to ice skate and sometimes even give free professional lessons mid skating sessions.
I think it's $12 for adults best bet is to check their website for prices and times depending on what you are looking for.
Yes there is youth and adult hockey. Adult hockey games are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and, Sunday nights 6pm-11pm
We had a Saturday birthday party for my daughter there a few years ago. They had two options. Do a shared ice party or rent the whole rink. Shared ice was cheaper, but we chose to rent the whole rink. It was several hundred dollars, but that included the party hosts, some food, and a party room. As others have said, prpbably best to call.
I'm not sure of Fri morning classes, but they do have morning classes on the weekends. Give them a call.
We are normally open Friday's from 10am-12pm, 2-5pm and 7-10pm, but this week, one of our rinks is closed due to ice maintenance and the other rink has been rented out for a curling event all weekend (9/1-9/3). Hope that helped 😊
