Decided to try the blind elephant. Didn't realize you need to be a member but the fee is only $5 so I became a member and headed to the bar. The guy working the door was really nice. I sat at the bar waiting for a bartender. It took about 5 minutes. I think he was in the back stocking or something. The wait wasn't a big deal, it gave me time to look at the menu. There was a small group leaving as i got there so i was the only one at the bar. Lucas was the bartender. He wasnt very friendly or personable. I asked about their fig infused whiskey and was asking what it was used in. He said "anything" so i asked if he could make me a Kentucky mule using it. He was like "well ill have to make it from scratch but fine" ive bartended for YEARS so i know "making it from scratch" means pouring ginger beer and the whiskey into a glass and adding some lime. I wasnt asking him to bake me a cake. Since he made it seem so inconvenient i just ordered the mule on tap. It was ok. He never talked to me, i felt really unwelcome. I was having a super horrible day and trying to get my mind off things and this just made me feel worse. Im sure this place is great but just depends on who is working and if they actually want to do their job

Absolutely charming atmosphere accompanied by the most wonderful staff. Drinks are fantastic, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a great evening

I asked the bartender to surprise me with a kinda sweet whiskey cocktail and she smashed it out the park. I love coming here but tonight was just extra great!
