They don't take care of the markers on the graves it's a shameThe workers there could do better

Today marks the one year anniversary of my father's passing. Due to Covid we understood headstones were backed up. Never rushed or asked, we just patiently waited. A couple days ago headstone is laid, excited because we can take my mother to visit finally. Despite them never correcting the rank on his marker, after they stated for us to bring a copy of his ID, which is on his file. due to archives for dd214 being backed up. We were satisfied because atleast we knew the headstone would be correct. My brother goes to visit and instead of CSM rank on the headstone, they still have SFC!!! My brother went to the Sandhills office after they looked into my father's file they realized the made a mistake and stated " we apologize that's our mistake". What!? So today 7/21/7022, which marks a year, and we still have to wait. So atleast Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery staff remove the incorrect headstone and a least put the a correct marker. My dad served 30 years army and 13 years civil service for him and all the other men and women buried there all I ask is maintain the lawn care and just care.

You did my friend's family wrong. Making them leave after making them WAIT an hour and a half in the heat was completely uncalled for. They were mourning and y'all treat them like this??? Not right at all. Might want to put people in charge that has at least a modicum of empathy.

Well maintained grounds. I've heard families have issues keeping flowers out though, due to strict enforcement of the policies.
