Was skeptical at first, not able to speak to anyone in person. But was able to file a complaint.

They need more people working there so licenses are issued in a more timely manner. It's not fair they are understaffed and it seems aren't able handle the work load. But Dustin, who I finally dealt with, was very nice and helpful.

Just a heads up for anyone applying from out of state, definitely do so WAY in advance. I can understand the delay in communication due to the number of applications they have to deal with, but at times, I wouldn't get any response back at all. We all lead busy lives as veterinarians and given the time difference (EST to PST), I had a lot of trouble making time to call, which always went to voice mail anyways. Emailing was easier, but I also had trouble hearing back, even after giving ample time for a response. I actually found out I was officially boarded during a job interview after they had looked up my information! Overall, just glad the process is over now, but they really need to work on their professionalism.

Why are Vets and Vet Hospitals not regulated by an agency to apply a fix price on surgeries, diagnostics, exams, CBC, and other practices. Why can a vet or Hospital allowed to charge extravagant amount of money to pet owners

Can we ask same question to the human doctor? Medicine is not like making coffee. Where you need same ingredients throughout the world. Every individual is different. Every doctor performing the surgery are different. Every hospital have different protocols based on their manpower, facilities and expertise. How can we expect the price for surgery done by a fresh resident, an experienced resident and a fresh non resident graduate to be same?

I would suggest you use the licence verification tool. Www.breeze.ca.gov. you can search by name or license number if you have it. Any public dicipline information will be posted.
