Drove a hour this morning to be told the range was closed due to standing water at the end. Dnr should fix this problem instead of sitting on their butts in their little air conditioned shed. Once again a prime example of our tax dollars being wasted.

Great place to put some rounds down range. Game Warden Andy is awesome!! If your nice and respectful to him, he will be the same to you. Follow the rules, be safe, and be respectful!

The Pickens County Range is excellent. Areas for both rifles and handguns. No cost for county residents. Ample parking. Friendly staff. A little out of the way, but worth the drive for sure. If you're looking for a great outdoor range, check out the PCR, you won't be sorry!

Went on a Thursday at 10:00 AM. Gate locked. No notice on web site or on phone recording. No notice on gate. The employees just let the public drive to the range during normal operating hours only to find a locked gate. Rude and …

40mm?!?! LOL!!! HE?
Rifle range 100 yards. Pistol 30 if nothing has changed in last few months.
Free, just bring ammo, targets and your weapon, also they usually have some ear plugs, but I suggest bring some good ones and your own targets not theirs! There are separate pistol, rifle and shotgun ranges.
We range muzzle loaders there. Doubt they woukd have an issue with a powder pistol.
Would my 11 year old son be allowed to shoot skeet with adult / parent supervision?
Yes. Ranges are marked on both sides all the way down.
The range is free during regularly posted hours.
Yes. Hearing and eye protection for all.
Yes they do, they have throwers that you can borrow too
I believe it is 17 years old.
Yes
The rifle range has a wire fence at 100 yards to attach your target... anything less than that you have to bring your own and has to be 4 foot off the ground
You can use your shotgun on the rifle range using slugs, bring your own approved (see site for rules) target stand to move your target to a distance you choose.
They have a range master that is on line at all times now, ( at least there was the last 6-8 times I was there) and from what I can tell, as people finish their rounds he will call " lines going cold" aka ceasefire, and let everyone go check and change their targets.
No. Pistol side has 3 preset distances (10,15,20yd i believe). On this side you attach your target to chicken wire structure at the distance of your choice.
