For 2 weeks now, a friend of mine has been trying to get her water turned back on. She is recently widowed and they want her to prove she is the rightful heir to the house, make at least 2 people who have known her for 20+ years write letters stating her husband would have left her the house, and other ridiculous hoops for water! What a disgusting way to handle this situation. How about this...if she can prove she lives there and pays the bill, then all of the other stuff is none of your business. Never in my life have I heard such nonsense for a utility.
