My mom wanted a deep dish pie plate for a Christmas gift so I searched online for something unique,trying to avoid getting a cookie cutter plain pie plate from a large retail store.I found one on this site. It was beautiful and definitely not cheap. I had to pay shipping which I hated but bit the bullet. I waited a week and a half,only to find it broken in many pieces. I understand accidents happen,however upon examining how they packaged it with zero care,I realized this could have been avoidable. There was protective bubble wrap underneath but on top of the plate,only some brown packing paper.No wonder it cracked and broke! It travelled all the way from Vermont to South Carolina,with nothing on top of it to keep it from moving around and to keep it in place. I called customer service and spoke to an apologetic representative.He said he wanted to offer me free expedited shipping to make it right and send replacement but he looked in the computer and told me no shipping date would occur until January 1.It would have been better if he wouldn't have even said anything,only to get my hopes up. HUGE letdown and big inconvenience! I will most definitely not ever visit this site again for anything. I wish I could rate this company with zero stars. Williams-Sonoma came through in the end with a coupon and free shipping. So at least I will have a present on time for my mom.

Ci ordered drapes. The quality of fabric is exceptional . Just reordered more curtains. I get high praise for them customer service was so nice and helpful. Love the country store

I am used to buying our fruit cake at Costco every year for Christmas. This year, unfortunately, Costco dropped the ball. So a friend recommended the Vermont Country Store. Without reading any reviews or even the product's description very carefully, I bought a 7 inch $44 fruit cake from them. Thinking, because of the price, I was getting real quality. I could not have been further from the truth. We cut one slice and it crumbled apart. I tasted it thinking that it was advertsied as being rum soaked, and could not taste the rum. God it was awful and went straight to the trash. Needless to say that when you pay $44.00 for a cake you have a right to expect quality. Do not make the same mistake. Avoid the fruit cake.

Ordered a Christmas gift from them. UPS/USPS lost the package. Did a chat with customer service 3 days before Christmas. They shipped out a replacement overnight and it arrived the next day. They also told me if/when the original arrived to keep as a gift. The product that arrived was wonderful and the customer service was even better. Will definitely shop here again!
