Clean place and an all around good environment but management seemed bit angry... cussing at me when I was finally informed about their pet policy. When asked said it was okay when checking out I asked about my security deposit for the key(50.00) when I asked to vet my deposit back he informs me I have to pay him an additional 50.00 for the pet fees. None of which was on the website or any signage around informing other occupants that he acures fees without your notice.

This is the most digusting place i have rented a room at!!! There was big roachs in the room and when i told the owner about it, When he checked out the room he found the roachs we had smushed to show him we wasnt lying we even took pictures, he then proceeded to pick up the roaches and flush them in the toliet refusing to refund my pay for the room. I have never seen such a digusting place. Mangement and staff are so disrespectful. I do not recommend anyone staying here. They are rude and will go to such lengths to not give your money back. Truly digusted!!!!!!!

So me and my girlfriend were in need of a place to stay on this memorial day weekend, on 05/25/19. We were desperate. We saw this (Shack) on the side of the side of the road close to the small town Slyva. I say (Shack) because his place does not deserve to be called a inn or a hotel. So sense we were desperate I pulled in and checked it out. I was quoted $100.00 for a room. Then she said they were remodeling and they would clean up the room. Seems to be the common excuse they have for there room to be a dump. So I asked to see the room before hand. The room I saw was kinda okay but not perfect. They did not offer to unlock the room. so I could only see. me being desperate I said okay. I just asked the room be cleaned again real fast. She said not a problem. So we went to a local Walmart up the street waiting for our room and then came back. I got back in and got ready to pay for the room. Before so the ladies then says to me the are still remolding the room and they have to give me a room with two beds. She Said she cleaned it at all and I took her word. She also said it would only be $75.00 now. So I agreed. I got room 18. I left the office and started walking to room 18 and was met with the owners dog barking very mean and viciously tied to a pole. Then I finally got to my room after having to walk there with fear I might get bit or attacked. So I opened the room. The first thing was the smell. When I smelled the I knew I messed up. The smell is ungodly. So I walked in and get my shoes soaked by a puddle in the front of the door. So as my girlfriend is trying to keep my calm and make the best of the situation I'm just absolutely not having it. I told her we are getting are money back and leaving. Before I want back I wanted to do a full inspection of the whole room so I could lay it all out. I am a Firefighter in NJ. So believe me I inspected everything. First I'm just going to say Who ever approved the building to be up to code must of either got a big pay day or just a complete moron. So hear were the problems im going to list them all (SMOKE DETECTOR NOT WORKING) , (OPEN WIRES OUT OF WALLS), (HOLES IN DRY WALL BY OUTLETS EXPOSED OUTLETS) (LEAKING WATER BY EXPOSED OUTLETS), (AIR QUALITY IS POOR), ( AIR CONDITIONER IS FULL OF DIRT WITCH MEANS YOU WILL BE BREATHING IN ALL THE DIRT AND DUST), ( BROKEN LIGHT BULB IN LAMP WITH POWER STILL GOING TO LAMP), (LEAKING MINI FRIDGE), (STAINED SHEETS), (STAINED PILLOWS), (STAINED MATTRESS), (CIGARET HOLES IN THE SHEETS), (TOP DOOR LOCK NOT THERE), ( DEAD BUGS ALL IN THE CRACKS OF THE WINDOWS), (BATHROOM FLOOR WAS DUSTY AND DIRTY), HAIR IN THE TIOLET), DUST ON EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM), ( THE TRIM IN THE ROOM WAS HALF ON HALF OFF), (PAINT IS CHIPPED AND FALLING OFF) With my inspection I deemed the room (NOT SAFE) to stay in. So I sure wasn't going to let me or my girlfriend stay there. After what I found she 100% agreed it is time to go. So I took all my evidence and pictures I took and went to the front desk. I was very polite and nice about It. I said I'm going to need my money back please. before I even said that he walked out of the room and him and his wife (the owners) wet to the room and looked at it. Then they came back and said The can't give me a refund because we stayed longer then 30 minutes. We might of been there for 30 minutes tops and the was me doing my inspection and I had pictures with time stamps to prove it. I told them about the water on the floor and the bed sheets just to see if they were going to be fair with me. Turns out they wanted to argue it. I was told the room was spotless and she cleaned it so well and it was all my fault the room was like that. At that point I got very defense sense I was being attacked when me as the customer was being treated wrongly in the first place. Things then took a very big turn. The guy started yelling and cursing at me. The police were called and I called the fire department myself. Let me say my money was refunded 100% DO NOT EVER GO I SLEPT IN MY CAR THAT NIGHT AND FELT MORE COMFORTABLE THEN AT THAT SHACK!V
