This hike was super quick and had amazing views for sunset. It took us about 35 minutes to get up at a very fast pace, and was entirely uphill. I would suggest if you’re a beginner hiker you take your time going up as it’s very rocky and …

Moderately challenging hike but we all did it. Ages ranging from 10 to 54. Highly recommended. Beautiful panorama views of Downtown North Conway, Cathedral Ledge, and other mountains.

Wonderful views! However, the "easy hike" description and words like "family" and "small children" need clarification. This is not a walk. Bring water and a snack for the break at the summit. It is quite strenuous for the non-hiker. We saw a number of people struggling just as we were with our 3-year-old, two 4-year-olds and one grampa. I would say it is a good hike for ages 6-8 and up. Our family was not ready for this "family hike." Our little ones had to be carried the last quarter mile and my knee managed to hang in there until the last 100 yards. But, it's well-maintained, gorgeous, wide and rewards hikers with a SPECTACULAR view. Only 4 stars because of the fact that the promotional material we saw at Settler's Green had us in over our heads. It is a 5 Star hike for everyone prepared for a moderate climb.
